Welcome to Marathon

The Marathon Church of Christ has spread the Gospel to Florida Keys residents and vacationing visitors since the 1950’s.

Additionally, we are blessed with numerous seasonal visitors who make Marathon their home for the winter months. While we come from many different places, we join each other to praise God in worship and to study His word when we assemble.

Rob Porter, Minister

Rob Porter hails from Como, Mississippi, located in the northwest corner of the state. He holds an undergraduate degree from Lipscomb University and a Masters in Divinity from Harding University.

Rob began serving as minister for the Marathon Church of Christ in August of 2019 shortly after graduating from Harding. He is grateful to have been called to serve the Lord’s church in Marathon and the Middle Keys, stating that “this is such a unique place that exhibits God’s natural beauty and annually welcomes people from all parts of the globe. One of the joys of serving here is the chance to build relationships with fellow Christians who come back to visit year after year.”
